Palestinian Prisoners' Day is observed every year on April the 17th to highlight the conditions of those held in Israeli jails.
The number of imprisoned Palestinians has doubled since Israel's war on Gaza began in October 2023.
More than 9,600 Palestinians are currently detained in Israel and the occupied West Bank.
The number of administrative detainees, those held without charge or trial, has risen to more than 3,500.
That's up from 1,300 before the war.
The number of children has exceeded 350 with about half of them held without trial or charge.
And since 2023, at least 89 Palestinians have died in Israeli detention, reportedly due to hunger, medical negligence, and torture.
Rights groups say this is part of a wider system of repression.

It says the United States must lift its blockade of Iranian ports before marine traffic can flow freely.
