Um diesen Kindern zumindest ein wenig unbeschwerte Kindheit zu ermöglichen, müssen sie im Untergrund, tief unter den Straßen der Stadt, Sicherheit und Geborgenheit suchen. Sogar das Geburtskrankenhaus der Stadt wird regelmäßig von Russland bombardiert, weshalb auch hier sämtliche Aktivitäten in Schutzräume unter der Erde verlegt wurden. BILD hat die letzten Kinder von Cherson besucht, und diejenigen getroffen, die ihnen, trotz des russischen Terrors, ein Leben Würde geben wollen.

In southern Lebanon, there is “essentially a daily bombardment on civilians”, says a medic with Doctors Without Borders, or MSF.

“In the last 24 hours, we’ve had so many traumatic amputations that we’ve run out of arterial tourniquets,” Thienminh Dinh told Al Jazeera from the southern Lebanese town of Tyre.

On the day the US-Iran ceasefire began, some civilians returned to their homes “thinking potentially it could have been safe, and within a few hours of having returned, there was a seven-year-old girl whose family was bombed”.

Eight members of her family were left buried underneath the rubble, said Dinh, adding that “these are things that essentially we’re seeing on a daily basis”.

“We’ve had children whose … intestines were riddled with shrapnel, just torn apart on. In the same week, we’ve had children whose bowels were eviscerated, so their intestines were on the outside of their bodies.

“On top of their physical injuries, there’s profound psychological trauma that comes with having your homes taken from you, being displaced, losing family members and being injured.”

DEUTSCHLAND: „Es gibt einen großen Furor!“ Neuer Regierungsplan löst ein Erdbeben aus I BILD TALK

Steffen Kampeter, Hauptgeschäftsführer der Bundesvereinigung der Deutschen Arbeitgeberverbände, im Talk mit BILD-Politikchef Jan Schäfer und BILD-Reporterin Lisa Windolph zur Entlastungsoffensive.

1000 Euro steuerfrei können Angestellte von ihrem Arbeitgeber bekommen – so will die Bundesregierung die Folgen der Benzinpreis-Explosion abfedern. Aber viele Arbeitgeber winken ab. BILD fragt Arbeitgeber-Chef Steffen Kampeter (62, BDA): „Sind die Firmenchefs zu geizig?“

Nein, antwortet Kampeter. „Die wirtschaftliche Lage ist, dass vieles in den Unternehmen spitz auf Knopf gemacht wird. Wir haben eine Insolvenzwelle und viele Unternehmen können das einfach nicht leisten.“

Für Kampeter ist die geplante Prämie deshalb vor allem eines: eine falsch adressierte Maßnahme. Unternehmen sollen zahlen, obwohl sie selbst unter Druck stehen. „Da kommt die Bundesregierung an und sagt, sie will eine Entlastungsoffensive machen. Das Erste, was sie vorschlägt, ist eine Belastung der Unternehmen. Da haben die, glaube ich, Plus und Minus verwechselt“, meint Kampeter. „Man kann nicht eine Party bestellen und sie andere Leute zahlen lassen.“

Zwar ist die Prämie für den Arbeitgeber freiwillig – doch allein die Ankündigung habe Erwartungen geweckt. In vielen Betrieben sei sofort gefragt worden: Wann kommt das Geld? Kampeter kritisiert Kanzler Friedrich Merz (70, CDU) und Vizekanzler Lars Klingbeil (48, SPD) deutlich: Sie hätten „Erwartungen geschürt und die Erfüllung dieser Erwartung bei anderen abgeladen“. Sein Urteil: „Das macht man nicht, das gehört sich nicht.“

Schon jetzt sei klar: Viele werden leer ausgehen. Anders als bei der Inflationsausgleichsprämie der Ampelregierung (bis zu 3000 Euro steuerfrei) seien Arbeitgeber dieses Mal nicht eingebunden gewesen, die Maßnahme zu entwickeln. Kampeter erwartet deshalb, dass diesmal „deutlich weniger“ Beschäftigte von der Prämie profitieren werden (2022: mehr als 80 Prozent der Tarifbeschäftigten). Vor allem Unternehmen, die wirtschaftlich gut dastehen, könnten sich die Zahlung leisten. Für viele andere gelte das nicht.

Für Kampeter liegt der Fokus grundsätzlich falsch: „Das Wichtigste und das Sozialste und Entlastendste ist Arbeitsplatzsicherheit.“ Statt Einmal-Prämien fordert er echte Entlastung: weniger Bürokratie, niedrigere Energiepreise, geringere Sozialabgaben.

At least four people have been killed and 20 others wounded in a shooting at a secondary school in the southern province of Kahramanmaras, Turkiye. Al Jazeera's Sinem Koseoglu reported from Istanbul that the assailant, a 13-year-old student, entered the school building with five pistols and seven magazines — presumed to have been obtained through his retired police officer father — and began randomly firing in two classrooms, killing a teacher and three others. The incident marks the second school shooting in two days, following a similar attack on Tuesday in Sanliurfa's Siverek district where an 18-year-old former student opened fire with a shotgun, wounding 16 people before killing himself. While Turkiye has strict gun laws, access to weapons through family members with police or military connections has become a growing concern. Social media is now flooded with reactions, with many Turks questioning school safety and the psychological impact of online content on teenagers. The interior ministry had recently been studying potential restrictions on social media for teenage users.
