First — the context. Trump's naval blockade of Iranian shipping officially kicked in at 10 AM Eastern on April 13th. The stated goal was simple and aggressive: cut off Iran's oil exports — nearly 2 million barrels a day — by stopping Iranian-linked vessels dead in the water.
