Here's where we stand right now. As of this morning, the U.S. Navy has begun a full blockade of Iranian ports in the Strait of Hormuz — cutting off one of the most critical shipping lanes on the planet.


But according to reporting from Axios, that blockade isn't the endgame. It's the warning shot. Trump's inner circle has been actively discussing what happens if Iran refuses to budge. And the answer they keep coming back to is this:

Resume the strikes.
