“I composed this song just a few weeks after we had recruited our new vocalist. From the very beginning, it carried an exceptionally dark and haunting atmosphere, and I wanted to preserve that exact feeling throughout the entire process. For the first time in my career, I decided to introduce growling vocals into the arrangement. It felt completely natural in this song, and I knew Nicole could deliver it with the right intensity and emotion. It had been a long time since I last recorded a guitar solo myself, and stepping back into that role made the experience even more personal. This track captures a darker and more haunting side of our new era.”

We proudly present the video for Days Go By! Our dear friend Emilie Bardalou shot the footage during our 2025 EU Portals tour and it really captures that live energy and shows some rarely seen footage from behind the scenes. ‘Days Go By’ is one of our favourites from Portals for sure, musically it’s an absolute bulldozer and lyrically it deals with pushing yourself too hard for too long, which brings us to the next topic.

Touring has always been a huge part of our lives, doing close to 100 shows per year for 12 years, very high highs, low lows, we have pushed ourselves over the edge in the past and we felt we were getting close again. We want to keep on playing for our fans but we need to enjoy it and not risk breaking us mentally. With that said we are doing a tour in November but it will likely be our last for a while.

It’s not easy making this decision, the band has been the biggest and one of the most important things in our lives for 20 years.
We will continue to play shows in Iceland but it will likely not be anything too crazy.
We appreciate your love ❤️ we hope to see you on our upcoming tour and we hope you enjoy our new video!
