Here's what we know. The USS Abraham Lincoln left San Diego back in November 2025. It's now one of the most critical assets in the US military's campaign against Iran — part of Operation Epic Fury — operating in the Arabian Sea. That's a long time at sea. And the last confirmed resupply of the Lincoln was March 18th, according to the Department of Defense's own image service. That was over a month ago. Meanwhile, mail to the crew has been suspended — packages sent by families in December still haven't arrived.

12 F/A-18 fighter jets. At least 7 aerial refueling tankers. A C-17 cargo aircraft. All arrived at Al Dhafra Air Base within days. In a region already on edge, that's not background noise. That's a message.

Al Dhafra sits south of Abu Dhabi — deep in the UAE desert — and it is one of the most strategically loaded air bases on Earth. It already hosts the U.S. Air Force's 380th Air Expeditionary Wing, French Rafale fighters, ISR platforms, and an array of coalition aircraft.

It's not a backup base. It's a first-strike-capable hub sitting roughly 200 miles from Iranian territory. Every aircraft that lands there moves the clock a little.

“Is Iran getting ready to strike the United States?” That’s the question exploding across headlines after a shocking new claim from Tehran. For an external audience, there is an innovative online strategy that has consisted of AI Lego, memes and hip hop diss tracks directed at Donald Trump and the MAGA base. But this coexists with more brutal domestic tactics: crackdowns, arrests and internet blackouts.

OSTSEE: Mit dieser Methode soll der Buckelwal gerettet werden!

Wismar (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern) – Am Samstag ist der Wasserstand in der Bucht vor der Insel Poel sehr niedrig – und könnte sogar noch weiter zurückgehen. Möglicherweise erschwert das die für heute geplanten weiteren Schritte bei der Rettung des Buckelwals. Inzwischen wurden auch die Big Bags zu Timmy gebracht. Sie sollen eine Barriere bilden, die verhindert, dass der Wal weiter ins flache Wasser rutscht. Zudem sollen noch offene Fragen der Behörden geklärt werden, nachdem diese dem Rettungskonzept der privaten Hilfsinitiative am Freitagabend zunächst nicht zustimmten.

Es ist Tag 26 für den gestrandeten Wal in der Wismarer Bucht vor der Ostsee-Insel Poel. BILD-Reporter sind an der Ostsee und berichten von den Rettungsarbeiten.

State media in Iran is calling it historic. They claim millions have taken to the streets across the country in support of the armed forces.

On Friday, monitors picked up unusual activity from United States Strategic Command. The message was sent over the High Frequency Global Communications System— a global radio network designed to reach U.S. forces anywhere, anytime. The Strait of Hormuz is now at the center of rising tensions as reports claim hundreds of ships are waiting for Iran’s IRGC Navy to allow passage.
Iranian media outlets Fars and Tasnim are claiming that for the first time in contemporary history complete authority over the Strait is in the hands of the IRGC Navy.
That is a significant claim because the Strait of Hormuz is one of the most vital oil transit chokepoints in the world. Nearly a fifth of global oil supply passes through this narrow stretch connecting the Persian Gulf to the open ocean. If movement here slows down or stops the impact is felt globally almost immediately.

And right now signals coming from the region are deeply conflicting. On one side Iranian reports suggest de facto control with ships waiting for clearance raising fears of a possible blockade scenario. On the other side the United States is issuing a strong warning.

Rising fuel costs, triggered in part by global tensions including the conflict involving Iran, are now putting pressure on operations. Even small increases in fuel prices can have serious consequences for these lifesaving services.

Operators warn that the bigger concern is not just cost but supply. Any disruption affecting UK airports could limit their ability to respond to emergencies. Some airlines are already cutting flights, raising fears about wider fuel shortages.

Air ambulance services are calling on the government to prioritise fuel access in the event of shortages or rationing. They say uninterrupted supply is critical to ensure patients continue receiving urgent care when they need it most.

Often described as bringing a hospital directly to the patient, these services run around the clock every day of the year. Industry representatives have now written to MPs urging action to safeguard their operations.

Another day into this extended ceasefire and there are signs of movement from the United States. The President has decided to dispatch special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner back to Islamabad.

Iran has signalled it wants direct talks. The White House says the President remains willing to give diplomacy a chance. The envoys are expected to meet officials in Pakistan to assess whether progress can be made.

At the same time, military pressure is intensifying. The Defense Secretary confirmed a stronger blockade of Iranian ports and vessels, alongside the deployment of a third aircraft carrier group to the region — the first time in more than two decades.

US officials say enforcement has gone global, with Iranian-linked ships seized in the Indo-Pacific. The blockade now targets vessels of any nationality moving to or from Iranian territory.
