Timmy liegt am Freitag weiterhin ruhig im Wasser, er atmet regelmäßig und schnauft deutlich hörbar. Am Morgen bekam er auch prominenten Besuch: Umweltminister Till Backhaus ließ sich im DLRG-Boot zum Wal bringen und stieg im Trockenanzug sogar ins kalte Ostseewasser, um dem Tier nah zu sein.

Tierärztin Dr. Kirsten Tönnies: „Wenn man sich überlegt, dass der Wal dort 3 Wochen herumlag, kann man sich wundern, dass der Gesundheitszustand noch so gut ist.“ Der Zustand seiner Haut habe sich gebessert. Klaus Kraft von der Tierrettung Mecklenburg-Vorpommern: „Im Moment ist der Wal tiefenentspannt. Er hat auch heute nochmal etwas zu essen angeboten bekommen und das Maul ein Stück aufgemacht. Er kann das Essen aufnehmen.“

Außerdem können sich Angestellte freuen: Sie können 1000 Euro steuer- und abgabefrei von ihrem Arbeitgeber bekommen – wie schon während der Corona-Pandemie. Die Zahlung soll bis zum 30. Juni 2027 möglich sein. Der hierfür nötige Bundesratsbeschluss soll bei der nächsten regulären Sitzung der Länderkammer am 8. Mai folgen.

Dazu geht die heiße Debatte um die XL-Steuerreform der Union weiter, die Deutschland endlich wieder nach vorne bringen soll!

Washington’s blockade on the Strait of Hormuz is not an “economic siege” but a smokescreen for repositioning US military forces ahead of a possible new round of conflict, says Hassan Ahmadian, an associate professor at the University of Tehran. Ahmadian dismissed the White House claims that the war has been costing Iran roughly $500 million a day. Additionally, Iranian sources report only one ship seizure has taken place, the incident that triggered an Iranian counter-response, he explained. “There hasn’t been a single other ship that was stopped by the Americans, and there’s a reason for that, because the Iranians made it clear if you do this, we will retaliate. It’s an act of war,” Ahmadian told Al Jazeera.
