Israel’s invasion in Lebanon has killed more than 2,000 people since 2 March, with air strikes concentrated in the south alongside a ground incursion occupying swathes of territory.

In the first 35 days, nearly 40,000 housing units were damaged or destroyed—over 1,000 a day—displacing at least 1.2 million nationwide, many without adequate water, food or medical care.

Zusätzlich sollen um die Flossen auf dem Netz Luftkissen für Auftrieb sorgen und verhindern, dass der Wal sich in den Maschen verfängt. Erste Spülarbeiten wurden bereits am Freitag durchgeführt. Es waren Tests, u.a. auch dazu, wie der Wal darauf reagiert.

Schwerlasttransporter haben das Equipment dafür bereits am Donnerstag ans Ufer der Bucht gebracht. Bauzäune und Polizei halten Schaulustige weiter fern. Doch BILD-Reporter sind vor Ort und berichten über das Wal-Drama. Der schwer kranke Timmy soll mit Luftkissen nach dem Verladen in die Nordsee oder sogar bis in den Atlantik geschleppt werden. Till Backhaus (67, SPD), Umweltminister von Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, sieht darin eine Chance für den Wal. Es wird wohl seine letzte Chance.

Because even as Iran announced the full reopening of the Strait of Hormuz for commercial shipping, Donald Trump made a very different announcement of his own. The U.S. naval blockade targeting Iranian vessels and ports is still in full force.

No easing. No rollback. No compromise yet.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump said the Strait is now “completely open and ready for business and full passage,” confirming Iran’s announcement had taken effect. But he quickly added a major condition—The blockade against Iran will remain active “until our transaction with Iran is 100% complete.”

The Strait of Hormuz — a narrow ribbon of water through which nearly a quarter of the world's seaborne oil flows every single day — is once again at the center of a high-stakes standoff between Washington and Tehran. A senior Iranian military commander has issued one of the most direct threats in recent memory: close the strait, freeze Persian Gulf shipping, and lock down the Red Sea, if the United States does not lift its naval blockade of Iranian ports.
The warning, carried by Iran's semi-official Fars News Agency and echoed across state media, came from Maj. Gen. Ali Abdollahi. His message was unambiguous. If the American maritime blockade continues and generates what he called "insecurity" for Iranian commercial vessels and oil tankers, Tehran's armed forces would move to halt all exports and imports transiting the Persian Gulf, the Sea of Oman, and the Red Sea.

An Iranian academic has pushed back against claims by Donald Trump that Tehran has agreed to suspend its nuclear programme indefinitely. Speaking to Al Jazeera, Associate Professor Hassan Ahmadian of the University of Tehran says no agreement has been reached, describing ongoing discussions as preliminary and mediated indirectly.

Ahmadian says Iran considers uranium enrichment a sovereign right under international law and is unlikely to accept demands to halt it entirely or surrender enriched stockpiles. He also questioned claims that Iran would allow US access to nuclear materials.

What if the United States didn’t choose a ceasefire with Iran…but was actually forced into it? That’s the explosive claim coming from Abdul-Malik al-Houthi — the leader of Yemen’s Ansarullah movement.

Two of America's most powerful warships. Both out of action. Both hit by fires within months of each other. One was deployed in the Red Sea — Iran's backyard. The other had just come back from the same warzone. So the question everyone's asking — and nobody in the Pentagon wants to answer directly — Was this an accident? Or was this something else?

Let's start with the bigger of the two incidents. March 12th, 2026. The USS Gerald R. Ford — America's most advanced aircraft carrier, a $13 billion warship — is operating in the Red Sea. A fire breaks out in the ship's main laundry facilities. Now before you think — laundry room, how bad could it be — here's the answer. Bad. Really bad.

It took 30 hours to extinguish. Thirty hours of sailors fighting fire aboard a vessel packed with jet fuel, munitions, and aviation systems. Over 200 sailors needed medical attention for smoke inhalation. More than 600 were displaced from their sleeping quarters — their bunks destroyed or rendered uninhabitable by smoke and water damage.

Lebanon’s President, Joseph Aoun, has stressed that his country makes decisions for itself and that his government is pushing forward only the interests of the Lebanese people.

Aoun defended Beirut’s decision to enter into direct talks with Israel days after the Israeli military killed hundreds of people throughout the country.

“These negotiations are not weakness. They are not a retreat. They are not a concession. They are a decision stemming from the strength in our belief in our rights and care for our people and our responsibility to protect our country by all means possible,” he said in a televised address.

What happens when two U.S. warships sail into one of the most dangerous waterways on Earth… and suddenly find themselves locked by 16 cruise missiles?

That’s the explosive claim coming out of Iran. According to reports from Press TV, a tense standoff unfolded on April 11 in the Strait of Hormuz — one of the world’s most critical oil chokepoints.

Two U.S. Navy destroyers — the USS Michael Murphy and the USS Frank E. Peterson — were attempting to pass through the region. But things escalated fast.

They were intercepted by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy. Warnings were issued. The U.S. ships reportedly didn’t comply. And that’s when the situation turned critical.

Iranian forces claim they locked 16 cruise missiles onto the American warships— essentially putting them just moments away from being fired upon. The message was clear: Leave immediately… or be hit.

In southern Lebanon, families are returning to bulldozed homes and uncertain futures after weeks of conflict.
A fragile, US-brokered ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon has opened a window of opportunity for some of the thousands of displaced residents to come back.
But they're being warned the truce may not hold.

Krankenkassenreform: Höhere Beiträge, weniger Leistungen! – DAS kann man tun! | Vertraulich-Clips

Berlin – Jetzt steht fest, wie die große Gesundheitsreform aussehen soll. In einem ersten Gesetzentwurf will Gesundheitsministerin Nina Warken (46, CDU) im kommenden Jahr 19,6 Milliarden Euro einsparen – bis 2030 sogar 42,8 Milliarden Euro. Ziel: Beitragserhöhungen für Versicherte verhindern. Dafür sollen die Kosten im System sinken – und Versicherte mehr aus eigener Tasche zahlen. Doch auch Kliniken, Ärzte und Pharmaindustrie bekommen weniger Geld – während die Kassen vergleichsweise glimpflich davonkommen.

Die geplante Krankenkassenreform sorgt für Diskussionen: Höhere Beiträge, weniger Leistungen und mehr Belastung für Gutverdiener. Experte Hermann Josef Tenhagen erklärt, wo Versicherte künftig draufzahlen – und wie sie trotzdem sparen können.
