Um diesen Kindern zumindest ein wenig unbeschwerte Kindheit zu ermöglichen, müssen sie im Untergrund, tief unter den Straßen der Stadt, Sicherheit und Geborgenheit suchen. Sogar das Geburtskrankenhaus der Stadt wird regelmäßig von Russland bombardiert, weshalb auch hier sämtliche Aktivitäten in Schutzräume unter der Erde verlegt wurden. BILD hat die letzten Kinder von Cherson besucht, und diejenigen getroffen, die ihnen, trotz des russischen Terrors, ein Leben Würde geben wollen.

In southern Lebanon, there is “essentially a daily bombardment on civilians”, says a medic with Doctors Without Borders, or MSF.

“In the last 24 hours, we’ve had so many traumatic amputations that we’ve run out of arterial tourniquets,” Thienminh Dinh told Al Jazeera from the southern Lebanese town of Tyre.

On the day the US-Iran ceasefire began, some civilians returned to their homes “thinking potentially it could have been safe, and within a few hours of having returned, there was a seven-year-old girl whose family was bombed”.

Eight members of her family were left buried underneath the rubble, said Dinh, adding that “these are things that essentially we’re seeing on a daily basis”.

“We’ve had children whose … intestines were riddled with shrapnel, just torn apart on. In the same week, we’ve had children whose bowels were eviscerated, so their intestines were on the outside of their bodies.

“On top of their physical injuries, there’s profound psychological trauma that comes with having your homes taken from you, being displaced, losing family members and being injured.”

DEUTSCHLAND: „Es gibt einen großen Furor!“ Neuer Regierungsplan löst ein Erdbeben aus I BILD TALK

Steffen Kampeter, Hauptgeschäftsführer der Bundesvereinigung der Deutschen Arbeitgeberverbände, im Talk mit BILD-Politikchef Jan Schäfer und BILD-Reporterin Lisa Windolph zur Entlastungsoffensive.

1000 Euro steuerfrei können Angestellte von ihrem Arbeitgeber bekommen – so will die Bundesregierung die Folgen der Benzinpreis-Explosion abfedern. Aber viele Arbeitgeber winken ab. BILD fragt Arbeitgeber-Chef Steffen Kampeter (62, BDA): „Sind die Firmenchefs zu geizig?“

Nein, antwortet Kampeter. „Die wirtschaftliche Lage ist, dass vieles in den Unternehmen spitz auf Knopf gemacht wird. Wir haben eine Insolvenzwelle und viele Unternehmen können das einfach nicht leisten.“

Für Kampeter ist die geplante Prämie deshalb vor allem eines: eine falsch adressierte Maßnahme. Unternehmen sollen zahlen, obwohl sie selbst unter Druck stehen. „Da kommt die Bundesregierung an und sagt, sie will eine Entlastungsoffensive machen. Das Erste, was sie vorschlägt, ist eine Belastung der Unternehmen. Da haben die, glaube ich, Plus und Minus verwechselt“, meint Kampeter. „Man kann nicht eine Party bestellen und sie andere Leute zahlen lassen.“

Zwar ist die Prämie für den Arbeitgeber freiwillig – doch allein die Ankündigung habe Erwartungen geweckt. In vielen Betrieben sei sofort gefragt worden: Wann kommt das Geld? Kampeter kritisiert Kanzler Friedrich Merz (70, CDU) und Vizekanzler Lars Klingbeil (48, SPD) deutlich: Sie hätten „Erwartungen geschürt und die Erfüllung dieser Erwartung bei anderen abgeladen“. Sein Urteil: „Das macht man nicht, das gehört sich nicht.“

Schon jetzt sei klar: Viele werden leer ausgehen. Anders als bei der Inflationsausgleichsprämie der Ampelregierung (bis zu 3000 Euro steuerfrei) seien Arbeitgeber dieses Mal nicht eingebunden gewesen, die Maßnahme zu entwickeln. Kampeter erwartet deshalb, dass diesmal „deutlich weniger“ Beschäftigte von der Prämie profitieren werden (2022: mehr als 80 Prozent der Tarifbeschäftigten). Vor allem Unternehmen, die wirtschaftlich gut dastehen, könnten sich die Zahlung leisten. Für viele andere gelte das nicht.

Für Kampeter liegt der Fokus grundsätzlich falsch: „Das Wichtigste und das Sozialste und Entlastendste ist Arbeitsplatzsicherheit.“ Statt Einmal-Prämien fordert er echte Entlastung: weniger Bürokratie, niedrigere Energiepreise, geringere Sozialabgaben.

At least four people have been killed and 20 others wounded in a shooting at a secondary school in the southern province of Kahramanmaras, Turkiye. Al Jazeera's Sinem Koseoglu reported from Istanbul that the assailant, a 13-year-old student, entered the school building with five pistols and seven magazines — presumed to have been obtained through his retired police officer father — and began randomly firing in two classrooms, killing a teacher and three others. The incident marks the second school shooting in two days, following a similar attack on Tuesday in Sanliurfa's Siverek district where an 18-year-old former student opened fire with a shotgun, wounding 16 people before killing himself. Social media is now flooded with reactions, with many Turks questioning school safety and the psychological impact of online content on teenagers. The interior ministry had recently been studying potential restrictions on social media for teenage users.

Gulf states are seeking to ensure their security concerns are included in Pakistan-mediated US–Iran talks, as regional tensions linked to the war involving the US-Israeli war on Iran continue to drive diplomatic efforts across the Gulf. Qatar’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Majed Al Ansari says the Gulf is “not just part of the solution, but an essential element to any solution,” stressing close coordination with mediators and international partners.
Officials say Gulf countries are not directly participating in the talks but remain engaged through diplomatic channels, warning that recent hostilities have hit critical infrastructure. The International Energy Agency reports more than 80 oil facilities, including production and storage sites, have been struck, while Kuwait has seen more than half a dozen water desalination plants damaged, raising concerns over water security.
There is concern in the Gulf over the risk of renewed fighting, with officials stressing there is “no appetite for a resumption of hostilities” and no military solution to the crisis, as states push for a comprehensive diplomatic deal that includes the security concerns of all sides, including Iran.
However, Gulf states also fear external actors could undermine diplomatic efforts, following regional criticism of Israeli air strikes in Lebanon, as they continue to call for protection of energy routes and stability in the Strait of Hormuz.

DEUTSCHLAND: Neuer Merz-Plan? „Das macht man nicht!“ Arbeitgeber-Boss völlig genervt!

Die schwarz-rote Koalition reagiert auf gestiegene Preise. Eine Maßnahme: die sogenannte Entlastungsprämie von 1.000 Euro. Doch Unternehmensvertreter reagieren genervt.

Die von der schwarz-roten Koalition geplante Steuerfreiheit für Prämien bis zu 1.000 Euro für Beschäftigte stößt bei Arbeitgebern auf deutliche Kritik. Der Hauptgeschäftsführer der Bundesvereinigung der Deutschen Arbeitgeberverbände (BDA), Steffen Kampeter, sagt: «Die Unternehmen können sich das einfach nicht mehr leisten.»

Kampeter kritisierte: «Die Koalition verspricht Entlastung und liefert Belastung bei den Unternehmen.» Er verwies auf die anhaltend schwierige wirtschaftliche Lage: Die Wirtschaft komme seit 2019 nicht voran. Kampeter forderte gezielte Entlastungsmaßnahmen statt «zusätzliche Belastung bei den Arbeitskosten.»

Offene Fragen auch bei Gewerkschaftsbund

Als Entlastungsmaßnahme wegen gestiegener Energiepreise hatte die Koalition angekündigt, dass es steuerfrei sein solle, wenn Firmen Beschäftigten eine Prämie bis zu 1.000 Euro zahlen. Der Chef der CSU im Bundestag, Alexander Hoffmann, betonte, es gehe nicht darum, Unternehmer flächendeckend zu verpflichten oder ihnen Verantwortung für Entlastungen zuzuschieben. Der Vorschlag solle Betrieben etwa in gut laufenden Branchen eine Möglichkeit eröffnen, Mitarbeitern angesichts hoher Spritpreise etwas zurückzugeben.

In der Regel würden solche Prämien bei Tarifverhandlungen vereinbart, hieß es beim Deutschen Gewerkschaftsbund (DGB). Eine wichtige Frage sei deshalb, was mit Branchen sei, die gerade erst Tarifverhandlungen abgeschlossen hätten. Auch der Präsident des Zentralverbands des Deutschen Handwerks, Jörg Dittrich, stellte infrage, ob viele Betriebe sich die Prämie angesichts der mauen Wirtschaftslage überhaupt würden leisten können. 

Kritik der AfD

Auch die AfD sieht die angekündigte Prämie kritisch. «Das ist eine absolute Frechheit dieser Regierung», sagte Parteichef Tino Chrupalla in Berlin. Man wolle diese Prämie den Betrieben aufbürden, das sei unseriös. Co-Chefin Alice Weidel sagte, die Prämie würde der freien Wirtschaft zugeschoben, die ohnehin unter hohen Kosten leide. «Dazu fällt einem nichts mehr ein.»

The bombs stopped falling. The ceasefire kicked in. Both sides agreed to pause. And within 72 hours — satellites caught Iran doing something that changes everything about what this ceasefire actually means. They're digging. Fast.

A ceasefire is supposed to be a pause. A moment to breathe. A window for diplomacy. But what if one side is using that window — not to talk — but to rearm? Because that's exactly what satellite imagery, analyzed by CNN, appears to show Iran doing right now. And if you understand what was bombed, and what Iran is trying to get back — this footage is genuinely alarming.

To understand what's happening now, you need to understand what happened during the six weeks before the ceasefire. The US and Israeli coalition didn't just bomb Iran. They went after something very specific — Iran's underground missile cities.
