On February 24, 2026, survivors of abuse linked to the late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein gathered on Capitol Hill alongside members of Congress ahead of State of the Union.

The survivors made a powerful and emotional appeal, demanding the full release of all files related to the FBI’s investigation into Epstein. While the Justice Department has released over 3 million pages so far, they argue that millions more—potentially up to 6 million total pages—remain undisclosed.

In addition, survivors urged lawmakers to pass “Virginia’s Law,” a proposed federal bill that would eliminate statutes of limitations for civil sexual abuse cases, allowing victims to seek justice regardless of how much time has passed.

Qatar has urged all parties to preserve the US-Iran ceasefire and work towards a permanent agreement, warning against renewed escalation in the region.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Majed al-Ansari said at his weekly press briefing in Doha that Qatar is maintaining close coordination with regional and international partners, including the UK, France, Turkiye, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Iran, Spain and Portugal.
He stressed the need for a comprehensive solution addressing underlying tensions, not just a temporary truce, and called for the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, warning of global economic and energy risks if disruption continues.
Al-Ansari said Qatar is "fully supportive" of Pakistan's mediation efforts following the collapse of weekend talks in Islamabad, while confirming that Qatar is not currently playing a direct mediating role. On the US naval blockade, he said Qatar has not been able to use the strait normally since the war began, adding that "what is happening right now is certainly not conducive to ending the blockade."
He dismissed reports of financial arrangements with Iran as "completely false" and aimed at "tarnishing the reputation of my country."
Al-Ansari also confirmed that Qatar is continuing its mediation efforts between the DRC government and M23 rebels in coordination with Switzerland.

A chilling warning straight from Moscow has raised global alarm bells.

Kremlin has issued a stark message to Israel, warning that ongoing strikes near Iran’s nuclear infrastructure could trigger a “major nuclear disaster” with devastating consequences for the entire Middle East.

At the center of this escalating crisis is the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant—a Russian-built and partially operated nuclear facility on Iran’s southwestern coast. Until recently, around 600 Russian engineers and civilian experts were working inside the plant.

A shocking and tragic school shooting has rocked southeastern Turkey.

At Ahmet Koyuncu Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, a teenage gunman opened fire on students and staff, leaving multiple people injured in a terrifying attack that unfolded within minutes.

Authorities confirmed that the attacker, a former student, entered the campus armed and began firing indiscriminately—first in the courtyard and then inside the school building. Panic spread rapidly as students ran for their lives, with some even jumping from windows to escape the gunfire.

A chilling warning from Iran has stunned military analysts worldwide.

The spokesperson of the powerful Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has issued a cryptic but explosive statement: “We have not yet used our capabilities… If the war continues, we will unveil capabilities the enemy has no idea about.”

Police in New York arrested nearly 100 protesters outside the Manhattan offices of Senators Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand, demanding an end to US weapons sales to Israel.
The demonstration, led by Jewish Voice for Peace, drew a diverse crowd including Palestinian, Iranian and Lebanese New Yorkers.
After blocking Third Avenue for nearly an hour while chanting "free Palestine" and "fund people, not bombs," police moved in to make arrests. Among those detained were whistleblower Chelsea Manning, actor Hari Nef and New York City Council Member Alexa Aviles.
The protest focused on Senate resolutions to block more than $600m in weapons sales to Israel.
