Besides the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, the shipping industry is now facing another threat in the Horn of Africa.

On Monday, the cargo vessel Sward was hijacked near the Somali port of Garacad.
15 crew members were on board -- including two Indian nationals and thirteen Syrians.

On Thursday, armed men reportedly attempted to board a cargo ship from a small boat south of Eyl, Somalia.
Warning shots were fired, and all crew members were reported safe.
In a separate incident, a Somali-flagged fishing vessel was seized.

On April 22, the oil tanker Honour 25, was taken near Somalia’s northeastern coast.
It had 17 crew members and was reportedly heading towards Mogadishu.

And a day earlier, there was another suspected attack near Mareeyo in northern Somalia.

A quiet London street turned into a scene of violence within moments. In Golders Green, an area known for its strong Jewish community, two men were stabbed in broad daylight in what witnesses describe as a targeted attack. The victims, one in his 70s and the other in his 30s, were approached and seriously injured before help could arrive. Emergency services responded quickly, and both men were taken to hospital, where they are now in stable condition.

The suspect, a 45-year-old man, was confronted by members of a local neighborhood security group, who intervened and restrained him until police arrived. During the arrest, he reportedly attempted to attack officers and was subdued with a Taser. Authorities have taken him into custody on suspicion of attempted murder, and investigations are ongoing.

The Israeli military has launched more attacks across southern Lebanon, despite a US-brokered ceasefire.
Lebanon's army says one of its soldiers and his brother were killed by an Israeli attack in Bint Jbiel.
Earlier, Israeli fighter jets attacked multiple towns, hitting several homes.
Five members of one family were killed when a strike destroyed a residential building in the south.
Israeli forces are continuing to violate the truce on a daily basis.
Hezbollah has responded by firing rockets into Israel and the areas in Southern Lebanon occupied by Israeli forces.

WITTEN: Massenschlägerei vor Krankenhaus eskaliert

Polizeigroßeinsatz vor einem Krankenhaus in Witten. Vorangegangen war eine Massenschlägerei mit mehreren Verletzten. Nach ersten Informationen sollen zunächst Fäuste geflogen sein, später auch Pflastersteine aus den umliegenden Blumenbeeten. Worum es bei dem Streit ging, ist noch unklar. Möglicherweise sei ein Autounfall vor dem Gebäude der Anlass für die Streitigkeiten gewesen. Die Polizei hat ein Fahrzeug zur Spurensicherung beschlagnahmt. Die weiteren Ermittlungen laufen.
