Fred Babbel, Chef der Bergungsfirma, bestätigte BILD: Timmy wird heute nicht mehr mit Luftkissen angehoben und auf seinen Pontons-Transporter verladen. Vor morgen geht es nicht zu Timmy, sagte Babbel. Die Vorbereitungen laufen aber weiter auf Hochtouren. Timmy ist mit Tüchern bedeckt, die ihn feucht halten. Das Rettungsequipment ist zum Teil schon im Wasser.

Powerful explosions have rocked one of only two working oil refineries in Australia.
Firefighters in the state of Victoria said flames of up to 60 metres broke out on Wednesday night and was finally brought under control on Thursday.
The energy minister says the blaze will have a major impact on petrol production.
Australia had already raised concerns about dwindling fuel supplies because of disruptions to oil exports via the Strait of Hormuz.
Separately, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese says Australia has secured an additional supply of 100 million litres of diesel from Brunei and South Korea, to boost the country's precarious reserves amid the Iran war.

Kevin Morrison is an Energy Finance Analyst at the Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis.
He says the fire may have occurred because the plant was operating at full capacity.

Afghanistan is clearing rubble and counting its dead after weeks of landslides and flash flooding killed nearly 160 people and injured hundreds more. The Israeli military has destroyed the Qasmiyeh Bridge in southern Lebanon, the last remaining operational bridge crossing the Litani River and connecting the northern and southern parts of the country.
Israel says it is targeting critical infrastructure to prevent Hezbollah from moving weapons and fighters, but the strike effectively cuts off all supply lines to the south, where around 100,000 people are now stranded. The bridge, which connected Tyre to Sidon and then to Beirut, has been completely obliterated, with a huge ditch now where the structure once stood.
The destruction makes it extremely difficult for humanitarian aid to reach southern Lebanon and for civilians to escape the area.
The military had previously patched up the bridge after multiple strikes, but it is now completely destroyed.
The attack is part of a "systematic destruction of critical infrastructure" in Lebanon, with violence continuing to escalate for six weeks despite hopes for a break.

More than 260 Palestinian journalists have been killed in Gaza since the start of the war, marking one of the deadliest periods for media workers in recent history.
Despite newsrooms being destroyed and reporters losing their lives, coverage continues through a new generation of young, often untrained correspondents determined to document the conflict.
With international media access severely restricted, the responsibility of reporting increasingly falls on local journalists who work in makeshift shelters and amid rubble, facing constant danger.
For many, journalism has shifted from profession to urgent responsibility.

Die aktuelle Eskalation zwischen den Vereinigten Staaten und dem Iran markiert einen gefährlichen Wendepunkt in der geopolitischen Lage des Nahen Ostens. Im Zentrum stehen scharfe Drohungen iranischer Militärvertreter, die offen erklären, amerikanische Kriegsschiffe bereits in der ersten Raketenwelle versenken zu können. Gleichzeitig wird ein Szenario skizziert, in dem tausende US-Soldaten gefangen genommen und gegen Lösegelder in Milliardenhöhe freigelassen werden sollen.

Diese Aussagen erfolgen vor dem Hintergrund massiver militärischer Aufrüstung. Die USA haben mehrere Flugzeugträgerkampfgruppen, darunter die USS George H. W. Bush und die USS Abraham Lincoln, in die Region entsandt. Insgesamt umfasst die Operation über 10.000 Soldaten, zahlreiche Kriegsschiffe und mehr als 100 Flugzeuge. Ziel ist eine umfassende Seeblockade, um Irans Öl-Exporte und wirtschaftliche Lebensadern vollständig zu unterbrechen.

Iran reagiert mit einer asymmetrischen Strategie. Neben der Androhung direkter Angriffe setzt Teheran auf Drohnen, ballistische Raketen und regionale Stellvertreterkräfte, um den Druck zu erhöhen. Besonders kritisch ist die Lage in der Straße von Hormus, einem strategischen Nadelöhr, in dem große Kriegsschiffe verwundbar sind. Gleichzeitig droht Iran, auch das Rote Meer und andere wichtige Seewege zu blockieren, was globale Lieferketten massiv stören könnte.

International wächst die Sorge vor einer unkontrollierbaren Eskalation. Ein militärischer Zwischenfall könnte jederzeit einen großflächigen Konflikt auslösen und die Weltwirtschaft schwer treffen, insbesondere durch steigende Ölpreise. Zudem zeigen sich Spannungen innerhalb westlicher Bündnisse, da europäische Staaten zunehmend Distanz zur aggressiven Strategie Washingtons suchen.

Innenpolitisch steht US-Präsident Donald Trump unter Druck. Kritik an seinem Führungsstil und Zweifel an seiner Entscheidungsfähigkeit nehmen zu, während politische Gegner sogar verfassungsrechtliche Schritte prüfen.

Insgesamt deutet alles auf eine hochriskante Konfrontation hin, bei der militärische Stärke, psychologische Abschreckung und wirtschaftlicher Druck gleichzeitig eingesetzt werden – mit ungewissem Ausgang für die gesamte Weltordnung.

Niedersachsen: Tödlicher Unfall auf der A1 – Mann von drei Lkw erfasst!

Auf der A1 bei Wildeshausen ist ein Autofahrer nach einem Unfall ums Leben gekommen. Der Mann verließ seinen Wagen und wurde anschließend von drei Lastwagen erfasst. Die Autobahn Richtung Bremen war für mehrere Stunden gesperrt, die Polizei ermittelt zur Ursache.
